Beat Cubano
Import CD (BIS 802), Released 2010; Editor's Pick: Renowned bandleader and pianist Manolito Simonet has pulled together a crew of top notch musicians to produce his first completely Latin jazz album, imbued, of course, with traditional Cuban nuance. With bassist Roberto Vázquez "El Chino", percussionist Roicel Riverón, flautists David Bencamo and German Velazco (also on sax). Also in for the ride is Grupo Rumbatá who help to make the Tatá Güínes tribute "¿Güines, Que Le Pasa A Tata?" pretty darn spectacular. Highly Recommended.
